- I'm new to exercise. What is the best way for me to start?
The best thing for you to do is give me a call or send me an email. I have experience working with clients that have no background in exercise all the way up to competitive ahtletes. After a brief consultation, I’ll be able to provide you with a list of questions that will help guide you towards the right path for getting started.
- Where will you train me?
That’s pretty much up to you! I have the luxury and flexiblity of being mobile. That means I can train you at your house, at a City of Surrey Rec Centre, or at a variety of Private facilities I take clients to, such as Life Designs Fitness Studio in West Cloverdale and Physiomoves Physiotherapy Clinic in Cloverdale and White Rock. We can also go outside. Your options are endless. I bring the equipment needed if it’s not at the location of your choosing.
- What if I have to cancel a session?
Life gets busy. Between work and kids and sickness and pets and last minute appointments, things come up. Same here! I’m asking you to commit 98% to making each and every appointment, but I understand that 2% of the time, it may be inevitable that we have to re-schedule. I do ask you for 12 hours notice via text, email, or voicemail, or I may have to count your session as “used” if I cannot fill it with another client.
- How fast will I see results?
There is no set amount of time before you see what you want to see or feel what you want to feel. However, if you follow my advice and do the work we set up together, you should begin to see results and feel results within 2-3 weeks.
- I'm already experienced at exercise. How can you help me?
So am I! No matter how much you exercise, you can always benefit from the help of a professional. I’m here to help you figure out what isn’t working in your current program if you aren’t getting the results you want. I’m here to help you ‘take it to the next level’ . You wouldn’t be looking at this page if you didn’t think a professional trainer could help you with your goals. Send me a note or give me a call to discuss how we can work together.
- How do the punch cards work?
I pride myself on offering flexibility to my clients. The majority of my class participants are busy parents who have work, kids, vacations and spouses to deal with. As such, I created the punch card system for Fit Camp and H.I.I.T to allow ultimate flexibility. You buy the card and you only use it when you show up. All punch cards have no expiry.
- Can I try you out before I commit?
Personal Training is….well….Personal! You want to make sure that you choose a trainer who you can work with. I want to make sure that we connect in a way that I can help support your goals.I suggest a phone consultation to get to know each other better. If you aren’t sure still, we can meet for a coffee. If you’d like to see me in action, you can come and try a Fit Camp Class (for free!) to get a sense of my personality and training style. Above all else, be open and honest about what you want and expect out of your time with me.
- I don't have fitness equipment. Can you train at my house?
You bet! I have everything I will need to help you get started. Together we can decided if there is additional equipment you might need to buy at a small fee to do the assigned workouts in between our sessions.
- What is your refund policy?
- If you are unable to complete a prepaid package of personal training sessions due to injury or illness, you will receive a full refund for all unused sessions, minus a 15% service charge.
- Refunds on Personal Training Packages for any other reason will be subject to a “one session” service charge.
- Pre-paid personal fitness training sessions can be transferred to another person but training times and locations must be suitable to Tracy’s existing client schedule
- There is no expiry on any personal training sessions, however , unused sessions will be subject to existing rates and availability if more than 30 days has passed since last session.
- How are you different from just hiring the trainer that my gym has - they cost less!
While there are some good trainers working at commercial gyms, there are a lot of underqualified ones too. This makes hiring a trainer at your gym a bit of a gamble. Most gyms pay their trainers a fraction of what you pay for the session. For that reason, many of their trainers are inexperienced. Many of them are working part-time while they study for what they really want to do as a career. Saying they’re certified doesn’t necessarily mean anything either. Some certifications are as easy as taking a weekend course and passing an exam.
I have both provincially and nationally recognized certifications and focus on training FULL TIME. This is my career of choice and this is my passion. You will get a full experience with me that you cannot get at your gym. Beyond the sessions that we meet for, you can count on additional support throughout the week, as well as nutritional advice and support.
- What is a typical Personal Training Session Like?
It varies quite a bit depending on what training phase you’re in, and what we’re focusing on. That being said, each training session is usually a combination of Strength training, Core and Superficial Abdominal training, Metabolic training and coaching. The workouts are designed to challenge your muscles while also challenging your heart and lungs. This methodology has proven extremely effective in improving fitness levels and lowering bodyfat. All sessions are approximately 50-60 minutes.
- Do I have to workout by myself on other days?
Your program is entirely laid out for you. If you want to achieve your goals faster, you will need to workout more often. It may be more beneficial and More COST effective to meet 2-3 times per week with me for a shorter period of time to get the momentum going. On the other hand, you may prefer to spread your sessions out with me if you are committed on your own to doing more workouts on your own. You may opt to do cardio workouts on your off days to increase your rate of fat loss. If you are seeing me once or twice per week, you’ll have a precise program to follow on solo workout days. There’s no guesswork involved here. Iwant to give you the best possible chance at having amazing results with your program!
